מָקוֹר (Makor)
In Hebrew, makor means “source.” This word appears throughout the Hebrew Bible to describe both actual springs of water and deeper sources of life and wisdom. As Proverbs 10:11 says, “The mouth of the righteous is a fountain (makor) of life.”
אֱמֶת (Emet)
The word emet means “truth.” It is made up of the first (א), middle (מ), and last (ת) letters of the Hebrew alphabet. This reminds us that from beginning to end, truth holds all things together.
Messiah Yeshua is our Mayim Chayim (Living Water). He said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6), and “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink” (John 7:37).
Our prayer is that every child at Makor HaEmet School will draw from this source as they learn each subject through the truth of God's Word.
